Die-hard Red Hot Chili Peppers fans vow to never see them perform again after ‘disappointing’ show

Some music fans weren’t pleased with the band’s performance

Not matter how much you love a band or musician, their live performances might not always be what you expected.

There’s an array of different things that can go wrong during a live gig – something which Grimes experienced first hand at Coachella last month.

The ‘Genesis’ hitmaker faced technical issues during her set and was forced to restart one song in particular several times.

“This is a difficult thing to explain but we’re having a major technical error. Don’t judge me for being bad a calculating things,” she told the crowd at the time.

Another thing that can prove unfavorable with music fans is if a long-standing band only perform new tracks and none of their classics.

I mean, you couldn’t expect Billie Eilish to do a show without performing ‘Bad Guy’, right?

Well, the Red Hot Chili Peppers apparently focused mainly on their newer music when they performed in Australia last year.

With this in mind, the crowd is said to have struggled to ‘feel it’.

Taking to social media, some spectators even said they won’t be forking out their hard earned cash to see them in the future. Ouch.

“Good experience (but) won’t see em again,” one person said following the February 2023 concert. “Their set was new song focused and the crowd struggled to feel it.”

Another commented: “Wish I could take back my decision to go to RHCP. Absolutely gutted by that performance.”

“Well, that was disappointing, definitely won’t be seeing them again!!!” promised a third.

While someone else added: “Been their biggest fan all my life and after that concert would never go again.”

But just like anything, not everyone was so overcome with disappointment.

There were plenty of happy campers in the audience, who were blown away by the band.

Writing on X, one fan said: “Absolutely incredible show @ChiliPeppers thank you! Please come back again soon!”

Defending the group’s set list, another commented: “Band release new albums since ur a teenager and you’re disappointed that they play them not that song you got drunk to that time?”

“They were touring their new album, it’s not a greatest hits tour,” someone else explained, while another fan added simply:” It was the greatest concert I’ve ever been to.”

At the time of writing, the boys are on the road once again and are next set to perform in Tokyo on May 18.

From May 28 onwards, they’ll be jetting around different parts of the US, starting in Washington and ending in Missouri.
